Started in 2022 by husband & wife Jessica Madigan & Sergi Canals, Cistellers (Catalan for basketweavers, Sergi’s great-grandfather’s profession) focuses on low intervention, organic winemaking.  Their Verbena is 100% Manzoni Bianco (Incrocio Manzoni) hand harvested from a vineyard 450 meters high atop the limestone Serra del Montmell in Catalonia. The grapes are gently whole bunch pressed and lightly racked before fermenting in steel tanks, then aged on the lees for a further 8 months before bottling.
