Clos du Jaugueyron Margaux Nout 2018

Margaux ‘Nout’ is Michel Théron’s Merlot-dominant Margaux bottling, named for Nout, the Egyptian goddess of the sky. ‘Nout’ comes from twenty-five year old vines planted in gravel-clay soil in the lieu-dit of Tertre. Roughly 55% Merlot to 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. Partially destemmed, and fermented in small and large concrete vessels, aged 1 year in barrique and foudre, about 50% new 50% one year old, and returned to concrete before bottling with a very small dose of sulfur.
