Domaine des Closiers Saumur Champigny Les Coudraies 2020

A new domaine founded in 2018 in Saumur-Champigny, Domaine des Closiers winemaker Anatole de la Brosse works organically and biodynamically in 15 hectares of hillside vineyards in the village of Parnay. The fruit ‘Les Coudraies’ is handled gently, with very little pumping over, and even so produces a fairly-full bodied expression of Loire Cabernet Franc. The wines are aged in tunnels dug into the limestone hillside by previous generations of vignerons. Aged in used barrels for an additional 8-12 months.
