Limnad Blanc de Noir Sparkling Pinot Noir 2020

Nancy Irelan and her husband, Mike Schnelle, first began making wine in the Finger Lakes in 2002, founding Red Tail Ridge Winery after Nancy spent over a decade at Gallo overseeing research and development.  Limnad - named for the mythical ancient Greek nymphs that live in and protect fresh water - produces only traditional method and pet nat sparkling wines from their organically tended vineyards on Seneca Lake. Planted in ancient glacial till, honeoye and siltsone soils, the grapes are hand harvested and direct pressed whole cluster with light pressings
