Mitja Sirk was born into his family’s Michelin starred agriturismo and restaurant in Friuli , even receiving an amphora at 10 years old from his neighbor, legendary winemaker Josko Gravner who was the first to encourage him to make wine. Sirk’s Friuliano is harvested from 25-35 year old vines planted to clay, marl and sandstone, all fermented separately in steel and then aged on the lees before blending and bottling, unfiltered
