From Contra da Santo Spirito, Passopisciaro, Mount Etna.
Taken from over 100 year old Nerello Mascalese (90%) and Nerello Cappuccio (10%) vines growing on north facing slopes at 750 meters, in volcanic sand and rocks.Hand harvested in selected bunches in mid October, the grapes
 were fermented with indigenous yeasts and a prolonged maceration in 500L french oak barrels, then aged 24 months in 500L french oak barrels and another 12 months in the bottle prior to release.
