Paolo Bea, situated within the beautiful Umbrian hills of Montefalco, is internationally well-regarded for producing shockingly expressive wines using a bare minimum of technology. Pagliaro is made from 100% Sagrantino, growing at an altitude of 1,300 feet. The wine is aged for one year in stainless steel, another two years in large Slavonian oak barrels. Dense dark fruit, orange peel, sage, and balsamic scents. Typically powerful tannins and charming rusticity.
